This summer, the Worcestershire countryside will play host to a truly unique dining experience. On Friday 29 August, Brockencote in Bloom will bring together the artistry of fine dining with the elegance of English winemaking, in a floral-inspired evening designed to celebrate the beauty of the season.
Guests will be treated to a seven-course tasting menu created by Head Chef Tim Jenkins, with each dish drawing inspiration from the colours, textures and aromas of British summer gardens. Ingredients will be sourced locally wherever possible, with seasonal produce complemented by homegrown elements from the grounds themselves.
To complete the experience, each course will be paired with a specially selected English wine flight from Chapel Down, one of the country’s leading wine producers. These pairings have been carefully chosen to highlight and elevate the flavours of the menu, offering guests a rare chance to enjoy wines that are typically only available at Chapel Down partner venues.
General Manager Dan Brennan described the evening as “a real celebration of British seasonality and craftsmanship. From the creativity of our chefs to the exceptional quality of Chapel Down wines, this event reflects everything we love about English food and drink.”
Chapel Down’s Thomas Overgaard-Brown added: “This collaboration is the perfect showcase for our English wines as we look to share our creations with new audiences in the Midlands. Guests can expect some standout pairings on the night, and an ambassador will be on hand to guide them through the selections.”
A Weekend of Summer Inspiration
Brockencote in Bloom forms part of a wider summer programme. On Thursday 28th August, guests can also join the Inspirational Lunch: Dig In – Garden Talk and Lunch, which will explore the fascinating history and modern preservation of the gardens at nearby Harvington Hall, a Grade I-listed Elizabethan moated manor. The event will include a captivating talk alongside a two-course seasonal lunch.
