Brockencote Hall Hotel is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Brennan as its new General Manager.

Dan’s journey with the hotel began in December 2019, when he joined as a receptionist. Over the past five-and-a-half years, his passion for hospitality and dedication to the guest experience have seen him rise through the ranks, most recently serving as Deputy General Manager before stepping into the lead role.

Dan officially takes the reins following the move of former General Manager, Jack Hartshorne, who has taken up a new position as Hotel Manager at our sister property, Mallory Court Country House Hotel and Spa.

Part of the award-winning Eden Hotel Collection, Brockencote Hall Hotel is a 24-bedroom country manor set in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. It joins fellow luxury destinations including Mallory Court in Leamington Spa, The Arden in Stratford-upon-Avon, The Greenway Hotel and Spa in Cheltenham, and Bovey Castle in Devon.

Having served as Acting General Manager since the start of the year, Dan’s promotion follows his successful completion of Eden’s internal THRIVE leadership programme and the external Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Programme - a reflection of Eden’s continued investment in nurturing home-grown talent.

Speaking about his new role, Dan said:

“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to lead Brockencote Hall Hotel.

From my first day with the Eden Hotel Collection, I’ve been supported and encouraged to grow, and that same approach is now something I pass on to our team every day.

Brockencote is a real asset to the local community—whether as a place to meet for coffee or afternoon tea, celebrate life’s special moments, or host unforgettable weddings—and I’m excited to lead the hotel into its next chapter.”

Dan becomes the third consecutive General Manager at Brockencote Hall to have been promoted internally, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to career progression and talent development within the hotel.

This milestone also comes at a time when the Eden Hotel Collection boasts a 97% staff retention rate over 90 days and has recently been recognised as Small Hotel Group of the Year by the AA.

Mark Chambers, Managing Director of the Eden Hotel Collection, added:

“Supporting our people is at the heart of everything we do. Dan’s journey is a shining example of the impact that targeted development and a supportive environment can have.

His calm, people-focused leadership has already had a transformative effect at Brockencote Hall and is a testament to the strength of talent we have across the group.

We hope his story inspires others to pursue long, fulfilling careers in hospitality.”
