Our regular update for you about what’s happening at Brockencote Hall, as the winter starts to fade and spring threatens to burst out into bloom! Spring is a time of optimism and a time to socialise, so it’s a perfect time to get to know Brockencote Hall even better!!
Monday 28th April 2008 Wine Course with supper Have you ever wanted to know more about the world of wine? Philippe Boucheron, Worcestershire wine journalist & broadcaster will be giving small groups an entertaining & relaxed insight into wine over the next few months at Brockencote hall . Groups will be limited to 16 and 8 wines will be tasted each evening with a 2 course supper with wine to finish . Cost per head: £37.50 inclusive payable at time of booking. Organic gardening – be inspired! On Wednesday 7th May, Beverley McHugh will be at Brockencote Hall talking about herbs and how to grow them, and how to attract the birds and the bees to your garden! A two-course lunch and coffee - with aperitif and wine – followed by Beverley’s inspiring talk is a great way to experience Brockencote Hall and learn how to grow and cultivate organically! Bev is a member of the Soil Association and has her own Soil Association certified organic garden where she produces herbs and plants for local restaurants and hotels. Her talk will inspire you out into your own gardens to encourage little visitors to your garden to pollinate the flowers and eat the insects that ravage your plants and vegetables! Book now to reserve your place – just £25-00 inclusive at the time of booking! Lunch is more than skin deep! Getting the massage?! On Thursday 5th June Julie Haney from ‘The Ginkgo Tree’ and her team of experts from Dermalogica will be here at Brockencote Hall for an exciting session on skin care and holistic therapies followed by an excellent two course lunch with wine ! The day starts at 10.30am with coffee and biscuits and involves presentations and demonstrations on individual face mapping, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Swedish massage and a question and answer session where you can simply ask away! The event closes around 2.45-3pm. The cost is £30-00 per person, payable when you book.
And a chance to learn glass making – a new one day course here! And one final opportunity you may want to make a note about! Have you seen the feature glass window in the Conservatory? Now you could have the chance to work with the glass artist, Susan Purser Hope, on one of the day glass workshops that she is running at the Hotel. You can make glass jewellery, a glass bonbon dish or decorate a glass vase plus enjoy a 2-course lunch with wine and then have something that you have made to take home with you.
