HARVINGTON HALL Harvington is a moated medieval and Elizabethan manor-house south-east of Kidderminster. Many of the rooms still have their original Elizabethan wall-paintings and the Hall contains the finest series of priest-holes anywhere in the country. Walking You don't even need to take the car, you can enjoy these walks directly from the hotel. The beautiful Worcestershire countryside is right here for you to enjoy. Chaddesley Woods: Just across the road from Brockencote and through the village ,opposite the Lych gate is a wonderful walk up to Chaddesley Woods. You pass by fields full of sheep until you reach the woods, where you can meander through the deciduous trees and bracken , you may even see a monkjack!. Glance through the trees and see glorious views of the fields and country side, follow the path back to the village and stop off at the Talbot Inn on the way back to Brockencote. ( about 1.5 hours) Wyre Forest: You will have to drive here, but there is a visitor centre and a selection of walks you can follow, the length of each depending on your fitness! |

Rushock Church At the top of the drive turn left and walk down a small path onto the lane, follow this lane to a T junction and take the right hand fork, follow the road to another T junction and take the left hand fork to Rushock. This is a pretty quiet lane passing through fields, beautiful countryside and farms. Turn left up the steep hill going up to the church. This is Rushock church . John Bonham from Led Zeppelin is buried here. See the collection of drumsticks on the grave. Look at the quaint village hall, it still has an open fire. Make your way back to the hotel through the field and then by the same road . (About 2 hours). |
